This sunrise was captured near Changi Airport. You are able to see about 1 plane landing at Changi Airport almost every few minutes during the morning peak hour!

Singapore Sports Hub

The Singapore Sports Hub under construction.



This should be the new 55,000 capacity National Stadium?

The 2015 SEA Games will be held here on 5 - 16 June.
Can't wait for both the Sports Hub and the Games to be ready!

Bifurcate Totems, Gardens by the Bay

Do you find totems scary?
I think when I was growing up, watching too much cartoons made me feel scared about it.



I wondered, what gave the craftsman ideas on how to carve them?
I guess it's a huge study.

Maybe I will read it up when I am free some day! Probably when I retire.

If you are like me, wondering what Bifurcate means, wikipedia says this:
Bifurcation means the splitting of a main body into two parts.

Cow's Udders Lookalike

Seen at the restaurant at W Hotel Sentosa - Skirt.

If you look up when you dine there, you will see this nice woodwork hanging.
Was told like everything in the restaurant, it's 'cow'-themed!

Those are 'udders'.
Nice isn't it?

Artificial Rock #71

If you have taken the 'skybridge' from Marina Bay Sands to Gardens by the Bay, you would have seen this rock sculpture.

It's called 'Artificial Rock'. Yes, we all know it's an artificial rock. Makes it sound so cool doesn't it?



This is Artificial Rock No 71.
The sculptor, Zhan Wang has a series of it and the series is call Artificial JiaShanshi.



Zhan Wang's works are all around. It might be in a city that you live in too.

Big Biscuit Boxes

Long ago, in our grandparent's era, they store their treasures in Biscuit Tins.
I can't remember if my grandparents have them though. I was too young perhaps.

One set of grandparents store things in banks and safe deposit boxes.
The other set store them in antique chairs that grandma said were made by granddad and it had built in secret compartments!



The Singapore Public Libraries are now having an interesting exhibition.
They are collecting memories of people living in Singapore. Go take a look if you are here.
